We all know that this plan claims to get rid of "abnormal fat". I have read the entire manuscript so I do understand what Dr. Simeons meant when he said this. However, I always assumed that my abnormal fat was stored in my mid section, since that is my problem area. Oddly, that seems to be losing slower than usual. I am down a little over 11 pounds and have only seen about an inch lost around my muffin top! In fact- it seems to be more pronounced since my ribs and hips are slimming. Usually at this weight, my tire is at least another inch or two smaller.

Has anyone else noticed this trend? My sister is also on the plan and she has noticed the same slow loss in her problem area which is her booty (supposedly! -I can't really see what she is talking about). I realized that I inject in my tummy and she injects in her rear. Could that have anything to do with it I wonder, or am I just doomed to have love handles forever?

I am experiencing a very similar problem with my mid section. I am on round 2. Have lost 45 lbs total and have 20 more to go to reach my goal. I too inject in my belly (subQ). I had been wondering the same thing if it has anything to do with injection site (even though I alternate sides daily) and thought I would try moving to the back side to see if that helps. Who knows? What do you think Bob?

I have been on the diet 20 days (18 effective days) and have lost 13 pounds. I have lost over 10 inches total all over which includes 2 1/2 inches from my waist. My mid section is my biggest problem as well. I give myself the shots in the thighs.

i recently lost another inch off my tire all of a sudden! I started injecting in my butt as well as doing some light cardio with pilates nightly. I am not sure which of these has been the catalyst for the drop but I am continuing to do all three just to make sure. I know people nay-say working out but I don't care if I gain 5 pounds-I just want my problem area ( the tummy) to go away!

I also wondered how we know exactly how much of our weight is "abnormal fat?" I know I'm not going to have to worry about it this round, but next round I should be getting close. Do we just get ravenously hungry when it's all gone and we're taking the HCG? How do I know my "goal weight?" I know from my BMI and body type that my normal range is 118-145, but that's a big range (and obviously I would rather be at the 118 side of it). Anyone have any answers?

I was told that when you take the HCG and are hungry - you are pretty much done with the diet. There is no more fat - or not enough fat for your body to use as energy. I don't believe the 'ideal weight' charts, have they been updated in a hundred years? lol I think where you are comfortable and where your weight loss ends is probably YOUR ideal weight.
