No loss again today. I skipped both fruits yesterday just to see what would happen but it doesn't seem to have helped. Hubby is up slightly today too. He's sitting at 299.5, which is still 31.5 pounds down in total for 20 days. Today is his last day of drops. He's fed up with the diet, but I will be doing one more to see if I can improve on this any.

I know it's frustrating to stall, but ask him what other diet he could lose 31 lbs. in 20 days? He didn't gain the weight overnight, he's not going to lose it overnight - but hcg will let him lose it a whole lot faster than any other diet out there.

Chasing, some people are VERY disparaging of hhcg ,which can be demoralizing. I quit a yahoo group for that reason, it was such negative energy.

It works for the majority of people, but keep in mind there are the small handful for whom it doesn't seem to do anything at all. C'est la vie.

Brandeline- are you drinking all your water? I also remember someone saying their hand lotion upset the consecutive loss. Maybe up your drops? Even though I am raging jealous over his AMAZING weightloss (men), he should think about how quickly he dropped, if he keeps going he will continue to loose. I don't like the diet either and believe me, I have been eating melba toast every day! But it took me a lifetime to get here, even though my weight isn't that high we are the same. I do look forward to the day I can eat 'normally'. But that will be just it, normal and healthy. If he sticks it out for say a half or a year his payoff will be huge!
    Keep up the good work.

Chasing, I am trying to, but some mornings I do wake up feeling a bit dry. This morning I woke up up that same half pound, so I haven't budged much in 4 days. I'm wondering if I'm losing less because I'm handling the food. I had to cut up a flank steak last night into portions, and there was some fat to trim. I tried not to touch it too much, but it's hard not to. Maybe next round I'll get some disposable food prep gloves for that task. I was going to do an extra day, but now I'm thinking I'll just wrap up with hubby for this round as it's not doing me any good right now. When we hit a fresh round in January, maybe I'll do a little better.

Hubby isn't ready to throw in the towel and not do more rounds. He's just had enough for this round. Who can blame him. He lost a TON of weight. Wish I had been half as lucky! (I would have lost another two pounds if I even did half his loss!) We never were able to find the melba toast anywhere, so we ended up with the grissini breadsticks, but I discovered I love those. :) But I am tired right now of trying to cook this limited fare and of the sideways comments I get because he hates veggies. Feel a bit like I'm doing all the work and having to be positive for both of us and not getting the reward so much. Maybe I shouldn't feel that way, but I think I'm just tired and frustrated from another stall.

On the bright side, Thanksgiving should be nice. I'm going to make turkey, a cheeesecake, chef salads, chili, the mock potatoes, and cranberry lemonade. We went shopping yesterday for supplies (ie avocados, cheese, sour cream, FATS!) and had a nice time just browsing. I bought a new pair of 'incentive jeans' that are one size too small for next round, since I can now wear all my existing old jeans that I couldn't even pull up pre-diet. And I hope even those fit better after we get in a little exercise! Woot!

Brande - you BOTH did an awesome job on your first round! Part of the reason I decided to do the 23 day round was because of the limited food. The recipes help A LOT, but still you do get tired of trying so hard on limited things! Enjoy the break, it may be just what both of you need right now. But encourage hubby to do another round with you. Maybe by January he will be ready to jump back in & lose another amazing amount of weight. During your P3 & P4 maybe you can work on gathering things to do round 2 with a little more sizzle to it - lots of recipes!!!! Plan ahead & work with what you found you guys like. It will make it easier! Good luck you guys have done great!!!

    Hello all,
I'm new and need a question answered, please, if you can. I read that the homeopathic drops only stay in your system for 5 hours and so they should be taken 3X daily. Is this true, and if so, does that mean I should not be doing the 500 cal per day for 3 days after ending the drops?
Also, if I did 26 days (I did), how long do I have to wait before going again? How long can I go? Can I break fro Thanksgiving?
    Please help?
    Thank you!!

P.S. If I'm supposed to saty on 500 cal for the 3 days after, does it matter what kind of cals, as long as they're not starch?

Hey everyone :) so today is my last binge day :) it was fun especially after that cleanse. I know not everyone does it but with the cleanse I lost 6 pounds in the week I was on it.. I am sure that is just the water weight lol but I'm happy because now I know that the first pounds I loose on my VLCD will not be water weight :) I haven't gained any of it back in my binge days so far.. but I'll see in the morning :) Anyway wish me luck! Can't wait to get measured for my dress and not feel so over weight!

Thanks Nutshell. The recipes did help a LOT, but not as much as I had really hoped for him. There were a lot more things I wanted to try, but he just doesn't like that many veggies so his list was even smaller than mine, and sometimes making two different meals is a big pain in the tush. I did get rather more used to chopping lots of things though, and spending more time cooking, instead of dumping out the contents of a box into a pan and shoving it in the oven. So I think that was a benefit overall. We won't be going back to processed and additive laden food I don't think. I've upgraded some of my small kitchen electrics over the last three weeks so I can keep doing this sort of cooking, (with BIGGER PORTIONS and FAAAAT!) much easier.

Getting prepared for the next round is a good idea! I was even thinking of maybe creating a better diet diary for next round so we could more closely track what we ate, and etc. The forms from Prinster's books are a good start, but don't really have enough space for notes for my liking. I may even try to just get all the meats beforehand and freeze them all in 100g portions for the whole thing, instead of a week at a time like I did this time. I do really wonder if trimming the fats with bare hands wasn't lessening my losses.

Pepper, I think the drops actually do stay in your system longer than 5 hours once you get going. We were hungry the first couple of days a little and had to take them a little more often, but yesterday was our last drop day and we're still on the 500 cal diet today and still haven't really even noticed being hungry. I definitely think it will take the three days to clear out the effects from our systems.

Some people go again in just three weeks, but I've heard that may not be the best results that way. We intend to do the whole 6 weeks between. (3 weeks no carbs/sugars, and then three weeks gradually put adjusting to them again.) I've also heard that the more rounds you do, the longer the space between rounds is supposed to be, but I don't know exactly why.
