I have been so busy, sorry to jump in...R1P2VLCD10...down 11 Lbs. I truly cannot believe this is for real?!
This protocol is truly an amazing gift. Why aren't we curing obesity with this? I mean really, before you under go surgery or crazy diet pills, or anything fda approved, this is it!

I know we all think about food, my goodness my relationship with food has been going on since age 12. I actually found a list that I made as a little girl "10 things to do before I die" #4 was lose 25 lbs. (it's now 40 at age 36. Well actually 29 now that I have hcg :) Is that sad? I had done it before with exercise. But do you know what it took? Realistically? I mean it grrls, it took me one whole year a trainer like Jillian on biggest loser and 3 hours int he gym 6 days a week. Five years and two kids later...that just isn't happening....
anyway, the food thing, ever since I have been on the drops I see food no longer an intimate thing, but just as food. Being a binge eater my whole life and an emotinal eater, I just don't see it that way anymore. Anyone else?

Good Job everyone. Consider ourselves blessed, we found an answer...let's embrace it and do the very best we can! It took a lifetime to get here, let's just do this and get on with life, so the heaviness of our weight and our hearts will not stand in the way anymore!

Jazz-- In the protocol it does not say to NOT exercise. Dr S says that if you are not exercising already you should not start up a routine, but he doesn't discourage those who are already exercising.

I'm echoing Nutshell- that's a great post, Chasing. I have/had that exact same relationship with food. I'm definitely doing better, and I hope by the end of this I too can say that food is just food- nothing more. Just something to nourish my body.

Well hubby has done it again.. he stalled somewhat yesterday, but now he's down again to 300 pounds even. Total loss, 31 pounds in 16 days! I on the other hand, have gained back the same .5 pound I lost yesterday. Really thought I would lose today, not gain. Absolutely no cheating yesterday, and I had the funny tingly sensation on my face all day that I usually get when I'm going to lose some.

I'm contemplating either an apple day here, or a 'mini-steak day'. I know it hasn't been 4 days of totally no movement, but I only have about 5 days left on this round and I'd really like to get to 20 pounds lost. Really wish I could drop it like he does! Frustrating. But at least the mirror is still saying nice things about my improving shape. :)

i've heard stevia is not so yummy.. is there any other sweetener that can be used?.. sweet and low and others have been said to cause damage to your lungs. (i think).. but is only gonna be used for a month or so. will it really cause alot of damage in that amount of time..?

Thanks guys, for the encouragement and advice! Im waiting for my shipment, and will download and read the info you recommended! Im super excited, but for now, am keeping quiet what I am doing. Its tough...I teach aerobics, and Ive gained weight...problem for me is the stress involved in owning a business, family obligations, and working out just too much. My body never has had the chance to recover and heal. So, Im moving ahead, and I cant wait!!
Thanks and talk with you soon!

Princess it depends on the brand of stevia a bit. We really like the Truvia brand granulated stevia, but are less fond of the liquid stevia formulas. The Truvia doesn't have much of an aftertaste, but the liquid stevias we've used so far sometimes do a bit. Though personally, both hubby and I prefer the stevia to the taste of saccharin.

princess - on P2 1 whole egg & 3 egg whites are allowed "on occassion" instead of one of your other proteins. Some people can't tolerate eggs during P2. I had no problem & ate them a couple of times a week. It is just a matter of your own body & what it will tolerate. Just keep a good food journal so you know what is working & what isn't. As for Stevia, I use the sweetleaf Stevia packets. There is a little bit of an aftertaste at times, but I actaully got use to it after a few days. I didn't want to take any chances by using the other artificial sweetners, but a lot of people have no problem using them!

Brandeline - ugghhhh your husband is killing me :/ why is it that men have it so much easier LOL don't push your body to reach the 20 lbs your body is working with what it wants to give up right now. A lot can still happen in the next 5 days! Up your water it may help a little!
