    Good morning all,

    So today is R1P2D3 first VLCD. im having my tea. Forgot my multi but I took B12. Question about what lotions you have had good expereince with? Also im African Amercian and I use oil/moustourizers in my hair. Do you all remain strict on the personal care items ?

    Strawberry & chasing, Ill be goin to P3 right around Thanksgiving !! Im concerned about resisting all the pies and cakes at my moms :(.

    I dont expect to lose all 30-40 pounds in one round. My goal or hope is at least 15-20 in first round.


    Let me know about those Personal care regimens please ?????

    I have a question. The day before thanksgiving will be the end of my round. Can I reload for @days of thanksgiving and go into another round of 23 days ? Would that be better than gaining from eating during thanksgiving ? I was thinking it would essentially be like doing a 40 day round ?

    Let me know what you guys think.

    Sands, I don't think that will work because the hcg will still be in your system, which will make you gains tons.

    Thank you eveyone for the support :o) I am hanging in there! I have been procrastinating about packing my bag for the hospital, but today I will be packing it & keeping it in the car! My gut is telling me the real thing is going to happen soon. Yesterday it had been 1 month & 1 day since we got the first transplant call & I know that hubby is at the top of the list so I need to be ready. I don't want to wear the same clothes 2 days in a row again like I did after the first call LOL

    I woke up this morning only down .4 but I'm ok with that as long as it wasn't a gain :0) that is still a great overall loss so far. I haven't calculated yet but Im on VLCD18 & I think I am down 17.8 so tht is still really good & I am happy. I am packing up the jeans I wore yesterday because they were driving me crazy trying to keep them up all day LOL

    Sands you need to follow the phases exactly! P3 for 3 weeks then P4 for 3 weeks!!!! Your body needs this time to stabilize & catch up. If you don't there is a big chance you will undo everything you have worked so hard for :/ I for one don't want to gain back what I have lost. That is behind me & I want it to stay there. If you have had willpower this whole time, you will be ok during Thanksgiving :o) Just think you will have Christmas to eat more of the bad ooops I mean good things like pies :o)

    As for beauty products, I didn't change my shampoo or conditioner. I use a leave in condition everyday, but I put it on my end & then brush it through just not all the way to my scalp. For me the hardest part has been giving up all my lotions! I am a big body lotion & exfoliating person. But right now I am just using baby oil on my body. My hands are a little dry & thats about it. I also changed my moisturizer & am using Aveeno Radiance - it contains no oils & my face looks great from it. I also only use mineral makeup so I didn't have to change that. I know that mineral makeup can be exspensive but it is so worth it. AVON makes an awesome mineral makeup line that is half the cost of others. If you want you can look at my AVON website at their mineral makeup (www.youravon.com/asoriano) I switched to mineral makeup a few years ago & I LOVE it. I noticed a big difference in my skin after I started using it. I also have not changed my toothpaste or my deodarant while on protocol. Some people do drastic changes with everything, I decided only to make minor adjustments. If I wasn't losing everyday then I would have slowly changed things to see if it helped!

    I forgot about the three days after last dose thing. So I dont know if I can be strong enough to not eat Thanksgiving. How much can you gain in one day ? What if I exercised that day ? I already started and didnt really onsider the holiday until I started looking on here.

    Does anyone else have a plan ? What if I stopped on my 20th day and started P2 with loading days on thanksgiving ? Going another round of P2 but maybe 30 days this time ?

    Ok. So here's my dilema. I'm day 40 r1p2. My last drops are tonight. Do I use my weight from this morning as my guide or tomorrow morning for P3? I have a good chance of losing one more pound.

    Thanks for post I must have been writing the same time as you. Well I have a couple of weeks to figure it out. I wish there was a cheat day or mealin here somewhere. Ive read you will essentially be losing 3 days if you cheat :( . Well for now Ill stick to the program.


    Another question, are any of you using the 101 worry free recipies ? I think I can stick to basic plan but if I needed some variety I was curious about gains and losses altering.

    Yes, I have been using it. But I couldn't afford or find all the stevia's. So I did what I could. It seemed that I gained/stayed the same weight everytime I had the chicken broth in something. So...make a small batch for yourself if you decide to use it.

    VLCD13 - Down another 1.4 pounds! Total released 13.8 pounds!! Yeehaw!! Ride'm cowgirl!!

    sands - If you cheat on Thanksgiving, get ready for a gain the next day. It may take you 3 days to get back to your pre-cheat weight.

    It is best to stick with Dr. Simeons' plan because it works. We sometimes have to suck it up and use our willpower, because there will be many times in the future we will be tempted. I plan to be on Phase 3 for Thanksgiving. I plan to eat some turkey and veggies, and take a healthy dessert made with stevia.

    Nutshell - You are doing fantastic! I am praying for your hubby to get the exact heart he requires. May God speed it to him, and bless the person and family who is donating it.
