Margie, I feel your frustration....I agree with Colleen that you should test the hcg just to be sure. But that said, your body does require higher amounts of protein to heal from your "unforunate bath tub incident"...You might be having problems because you really need that extra protein that you were getting in p3, and now you have gone down to near protein deficiency even for folks with the best of body conditions, with no "UBTI's" under their belts. Sometimes we just have to listen to our bodies. I know you can still do this, you don't need to go the trainer route to lose more weight. I just think your body is saying that right now, it wants to heal up first!!

Don't go away for awhile as you said, we need you on this forum. Just maybe consider hanging out with the p3ers and p4ers for a few weeks :)).

Need a little advice. I am not using any body lotion, per the doctor instructions and obviously not suppose from reading P & I and here. But, he didn't say anything about facial moisturizer, I am using an oil free one, so thought that was okay, but what about the liquid foundation? Also I use a styling gel on my hair, are these things really going to affect the weight loss?

I had my first official weigh in at doctor's office and was down 5 lbs since starting VCLD on Sunday - so I guess that's 5 lbs in 5 days! I was happy, he was proud of me - so now I am fired up for another week!

One week vlcd today and I'm in a stall! No weight loss today! I've lost 10.6# this week but disheartened at today's results! I'm wondering if its because I had a salad with lettuce, tomato and cucumber at the organic cafe (no dressing) when I went to the mainland to buy my food, yesterday. I didn't drink much, either for most of the day while I was out.

Or then again GP? What have you been up to? :)

Glor, congrats on the 5 pounds!! Oil free moisturizer is fine. hair gel is fine, just keep it off your scalp and wash your hands quickly after getting it on your hands. Liquid foundation...hmmmm, not sure about that one. Depends on how much oil it contains. Alot of folks use mineral makeup for foundation to get around this issue. Barb

I can only assume that I've said something for my comments the last few days to be disregarded. There are a few exceptions to this, and I appreciate those responses. I have enjoyed the group, and there is a considerable amount of knowledge here. If anyone can shed some light on what I've done, I would appreciate it. I feel I've tried to be helpful and supportive, but I suppose I can look for advice elsewhere. I apologize for whatever I've done, and thanks so much for your help in previous days.

Barb I've made several posts I guess since Tuesday with results, etc, that I've had limited responses to. And for those posts, I'm very grateful. I guess the one that I had a feeling I had done something wrong was an earlier post on this thread asking for advice concering a problem I've had today. If I have misread this, I'm sorry. Thanks for responding Barb.

Carole, I feel badly that you feel badly. You are a very welcome and valuable member of the forum...you are supportive of others and give excellent advice. Sometimes there are multiple conversations going on at once. Some of us have bigger "mouths" than others, i know I am in that category :). Also, know that a lack of a response to a comment of yours might mean we are in total agreement with you....but I see where acknowlegement is also sometimes needed.

i saw your comment about the migraine....I don't have experience with migraines, but I winced when I read it. :((( I was courious about one thing...I thought caffiene was OK for migraines...that it helped rather than hurt during one...because it is a vasoconstrictor and part of the issue with migraines is you have vasodilitation going on...Barb :)
    Thankful People: Carole

You are right Barb...caffeine usually helps....I just didn't think my stomach could handle coffee. I've been drinking tea and just broke down and had a Diet coke. Trying to gag down an apple to see if it's blood sugar.....but it acts like a migraine. I don't have them very often, but this feels like it. Thanks for your response Barb....I'm afraid I said something to offend.

    Thanks,
    Carole
