Hello!!! My name is Denise and I'm 29yrs old. I just started the HCG injections 2 weeks ago and I don't feel like it's working at all. Is anybody on a plan where they get the shot only once a week. Also the doctor has me on basically the atkins diet. I don't have to count carlories or fat or anything, I just can't have certain things like bread, sugar, or any starchy veggies. (which is everything!!!LOL) My starting weight was 198lbs and today I weighed myself for the first time and I was only 196lbs. This was a little discouraging for me, because this is first time i actually really have stuck to the diet to a Tee. Oh I also forgot to mention he has me taking 2 protien supplements a day, 2 quarts water, and 2 meals. Of course, with snacks in between. Has anybody been on a diet like this.

I really don't know since you're on such a different program - if you read pounds and inches, that is the Dr. S. Protocol. You can access it in the upper left corner.

You either take a shot every day (skipping one day a week on the 40 day protocol) or you take a sublingual form of hcg 2x a day and you follow a very specific 500 calorie diet. And drink lots of water. It's very specific and women lose 20-25 pounds on that 40 protocol. You should have lost much more than 2 pounds if you'd been doing the real protocol.

This is a weight loss clinic I go to. Do you guys go to a clinic or do you order it online? If you order it online is it safe??? 20-25lbs sounds much better to me than 2lbs. Ugggh this is not cheap either.

There are some here who go to a weight loss clinic but the majority of us order it online. I started with a doctor but it was so easy to mix and there was such great help here that I did my second round with ordering it online. It's pharmaceutical grade and totally safe. If you order from www.AllDayChemist.com it's really inexpensive. If you want to order from Bob (that's where I got mine---www.whenhealthmatters.com) it's a little more but he sends you everything you need and you don't have to gather the various components. My 6 week protocol with the syringes, bacteriostatic water, mixing needle and sterile bottles was $148 since I ordered three sets. I think I'm going sublingual on my next round though so I won't need needles next time. I also got the 2000 iu ampoules for next time to mix and have it super fresh.

You do need to do the real protocol for the fabulous results though. I hate to hear stories like yours!

denise, 2 weeks on injections and only lost 2 lbs????
What kind of weight loss is that?
Maybe you should do what most on this forum do and get your own hcg and follow the protocol yourself according to the original diet developed by Dr. Simeons. If you are not happy with your losses (even the slowest loser on this hcg forum still loses .5 lbs a day) then we can help you do it right and probably save you a lot of $$ too doing it yourself.
Usually the first 2 weeks of the diet are your biggest losses. 2 lbs is terrible loss for what is normal on hcg.

denise- there are clinics doing all kinds of things out there, but without research to back it up- they just think it "makes sense". we've all wondered about the places that inject you once a week, because that makes no sense to use given the original research. Dr. S. is very specific that if you take too much hcg (which is probably the case, with one injection a week) that your weight loss will not be "satisfactory".

some people respond well to just a low-carb diet, but it doesn't sound like it's working that well for you.

read the original protocol, then go to the search bar at the top of the page and type in "newcomer". there is a lot of basic information there for you. at least half of us order our hcg online and do well, so we can help you with that if you want to.

I am doing weekly injections and has not lost a lot of weight in 2 months. I have lost inches, but I have not did much exercise either. I am not on a majore caloric intake. But I am not hungry that much either. I was also given Bontril 35mg 2x a day. Is there anyone else doing weekly injections and how is it going?
