sounsd good. just remember to take it slow adding in. My daughter went 6 lbs below liw becasue she got sick. So she ended up with quite alot of wiggle room, but she stabilized close to what she weighed while sick. I stabilized at 1 lb under LIW, so you sound like you are on track. \

Just be sure to weigh everyday and address any issues immediately.

I have been on P3 for 5 days. I had to do a steak day yesterday, I was exactly 2 pounds over my liw weight. I only lost half a pound! I don't know rather I should do another steak day today or not. Suggestions?

Ok, I think I am getting the hang of this.... but still would like to break it down so I can have feed back.
I have been struggling through P3 (I only had 2 days at the same weight and that was at 2.5lbs over LIW where I am again,) and am now entering my 3rd week. I was counting protien grams and calories to make sure I was "eating enough" but it sounds like the high protien meats contain enough calories that those foods should be my focus. I still eat veggies with each meal (like onions and green peppers with my pork roast made in the crockpot, DELICIOUS) but for many days have had to worry about eating both enough protien and calories. After about 1000 calories and 60grams of protien (usually consumed by lunch) I am so full I don't want to eat dinner. I am still 2.5lbs over LIW so have yet ANOTHER steak day (I tried eating the eggs, ate 12 throughout the day and wasn't any less hungry than if I did a steak day and lost the same as a steak day, 1.5lbs.)
I have cut out a lot of the foods I have added because I think I added too many too fast and am not sure what makes me gain, so no cashews, dairy and no tomatoes (a previous sensitivity.) I drink between 80-88oz of water but since I have been so full I am now cutting it down to between the min of 64 and 70oz of water. I am in the Army and work out 5 days a week. 3days are usually a fast paced walk (I am currently injured and cannot run...) for around 40min and the other 2 are muscle failure days for arms and abs (we usually workout for around 40-50min)
I calculated that I should probably be getting over 100grams protien (to be on the safe side) and just over 2,000 calories. Am I doing the right things? Should I be eating more veggies and if so what? I have mostly eaten lettuce (though I avoid it because its filling without the added calories,) aparagus precooked with olive oil and a dash of salt (checked ingrediants and nothing else that would be on the bad list.) As well as my green peppers and sweet onion added to just about EVERYTHING I cook. I have eggs every now again and apples, soy protien shake with stevia and frozen strawberries and usually some sort "treat" like food such as chocolate mac nut delight (made with coconut oil) so I can get the added calories.
BTW, Everyone who has talked about stabilizing so easily I want to scream at because this is my second round and my first round I counted as a wash because I did so bad on P3. This time I am sticking to it but having just as much trouble and tried a whole new aproach.
If I am doing something wrong PLEASE let me know.

i am using a dr and the p3 food list has pea protein on it. Everything I have read says no peas. I am confused. Just spent 40 on pea protein and then read all the info online. Anyone have any ideas? on this.

If you stay within 2 lbs up or down during phase 3 is that stablizing or do you have to stay the same weight? Any ideas on this would really help. I go down a couple of oz and then up and then down....

I read somewhere someone asking if it is possible to overeat on this diet. No one truly answered. Is it? I ate like I was suppose to yesterday (I think) and am up 1.5lbs again!!! This now puts me at 4lbs over my LIW weight. I have been doing a steak day every other day and am debating on what to do today. Part of me wants to throw in the towel, part of me wants to cut my P3 short and start another P2 phase and another part me wants to sigh and do a steak day.... I am really hungry this morning so was also considering doing that protien-enima (sp?) with 2 eggs for breakfast, a large steak for lunch and dinner. Yesterday afternoon in trying to get my recommended calories ad protien I felt like I was stuffing myself with pork roast. PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!

For reference here is what I ate yesterday:

Breakfast: Protien shake with Soy protien, frozen strawberries and 1cup almond milk (175 calories and 25grams protien)
    Apple (100 calories)
14 asparagus spears (pregrilled in olive oil and dash of salt, came frozen) (70 calories)

Lunch: 3 Chicken tenders (washed in egg and breaded with almond flour then cooked in grape seed oil) (roughly 150 calories and 60grams protien)

Snack: 3tbsp Organic powdered cocoa with 3 tbsp coconut oil put on 2 strawberries and half an apple (460 calories no idea about protien)
Rest of Apple a few hours later (100 Calories)

Dinner: roughly 24oz of pork roast (lean) with onion and green peppers (roughly 800 calories and 80 grams protien)
14 asparagus spears (same as above) (70 calories)

    Total water consumed: 65oz.
Total Calories: 1,925 (goal is 2,057.5)
Total Protien: 165 grams (no idea what my goal is except over 100grams)

    Thanks,
    Elena

can u have dairy in p3???

I'd cut that protein shake for one thing. Soy messes with your thyroid. And you're not eating enough protein. I always recommend AT LEAST double what you had in P2.

oh no!! i hope this thread isn't done because i am starting p3 tomorrow and would love some buddies!

here is what i am planning to eat tomorrow morning, what do you think?

breakfast: 2egg whites + 1 whole egg scrambled with spinach, tomato, and green onion, iced americano with 2 tbsp heavy cream
    snack: apple
lunch: cobb salad (6-7oz grilled chicken, 1 hard boiled egg, 2 strips crumbled bacon, tomato, cucumber, romaine lettuce) with homemade ranch dressing
    snack: hard boiled egg
dinner: 10oz grilled steak with steamed spinach, green beans, and broccoli

does this seem like enough protein? also, i dont want to introduce dairy (besides the ranch dressing and cream in my coffee) just in case i have a reaction to the eggs. but how much of a gain would i have to see to know if i have an egg sensitivity or not?

    Hi
Glad to see your here, I start on Tuesday and would love a buddy too! Kinda freaking out today cuz its only my 2nd day without drops and I gained a pound - I didnt do anything too different so I'm hoping it water weight

Your menu sounds good to me. I'm going to do something similar on day 1 except I dont eat meat and I've had eggs and cottage cheese all along so may do some cheese. Have to get through my current crisis first
