I love this thread, it answers the questions I was wondering...and this site too...I am on week 4 of P3 or P4...not sure which it actually is...I have been doing great..steady the whole time...anyways I am going to be starting another round of this protocol in two weeks and am wanting to add walking to the program... and after reading above I believe that I am going to do just that. I walked with my hubby after dinner this evening and I forgot how great that feels just to get out and enjoy the walk! Hopefully it will promote some "extra" weight loss...and the inches! :)

    Hi,
I'm on R2P2VLCD5. I used to workout ages ago but havnt done it recently. I've started working out since this diet. I walk 1.5 miles. Doing the 'Walk away the pounds' workout. I do 20 mins of that and since I have an apple shape body.. upper body is big which also includes my upper arms. I'm doing about 150 abs and 200 upper arm workout. Is it ok to add in all that with the diet? This is my round 2. My first round I lsot 15 lbs and although I came down one pant size (comfortable 18 to loose 16) I din't lose any fat from my upper arm or bust. I was very disappointed and hence I have started workout for my abs and upper arms this round. Please tell it's ok! I'm following the protocol to the T.

Okay, you all know I have to pipe in on this one LOL

I'm a body builder, have been for a couple of years. I exercise every single day. My cardio stinks because I would rather spend the day lifting weights and challenging myself then walk or run LOL, although I do try to walk 30 minutes every day.

Now with all that said, I've been lifting for so long I really believe (in my own mind) that I would completely stall if I stopped. Yeah, it's a head thing LOL Anyhow, long story short, I did damage to my right arm lifting and had to slow down a great deal. If you don't keep up with it, well, it kind of turns to flab *sigh* I knew I could have done some thing to prevent gaining the weight (like not eating the amounts of food I do when I lift etc.), but I'm a stubborn old mule and didn't.

All this to say, if you are already doing any form of exercise keep at it with moderation. If you have never exercised before, walking (not speed walking) just walking is a great way to get some cardio and help with your weight loss process.
