Just curious b/c last month I bought beautiful new treadmill and I would hate to see it collect dust. I was thinking 1 mile a day 5x's a week??? Its not too much and was wondering if this would even promote more weight loss??

    Thanks!

walking 30-60' a day is encouraged. it may or may not promote more loss, because muscle weighs more than fat- but it will definitely make you smaller in size.

This is interesting, because I thought Dr. S. did not recommend exercising. Maybe 1/2 mile per day is not considered really 'exercise'? I must remember this for my next round !

olivia- not sure how that rumor ever got started, but Dr. S. does not discourage exercise. by my interpretation, he actually encourages it. he does say that if you do really vigorous exercise that you may experience temporary water retention, but that's all. i have some comments on this thread:http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgvanillaforum/discussion/2743/10/just-curious-how-many-of-you-are-exercising/#Item_6

i check my body fat daily on a monitor, and if i exercise on a regular basis my BF decreases more rapidly. however, it may slow your loss just a touch because muscle weighs more than fat- but that's what you really want, anyway!

Margie and I have an ongoing friendly dispute about the exercise thing. :-) I believe he indicates that whatever you are USED to is fine. Anything more strenuous than your normal activity can cause water weight retention. But walking is always good.

but water retention is always temporary, so don't worry about that. :) Just so you know it may happen.
