Ok Netty, but "regular" is a subjective term like "normal". I could easily say I consider myself normal, but there would no doubt be those who would quickly disagree. I like Albert Einstein's statement "Great minds have often encountered violent opposition from mediocre men."
Are we striving to be normal or regular, or should we be aiming our sights higher? I say higher. I like to think of my self as irregular and not normal.
Or we could just all go to the bathroom...

Oh, silly ol' GP. When it comes to this diet, regular just plain old means I get to go potty on a regular basis. I bought some Smooth Mooth, but this round, the water keeps me going.

I am choosing this thread since the title is WATER! Here is my question. Dr. S said we should drink at least 68 oz. of water per day while on this diet. Does the temperature of the water impact weight loss? I drink ice in my water and someone told me they read that this could affect losses. I know Dr. S said to drink water at room temperature but I just assumed it was for some other reason than it affected losses. Does any one have an answer?

I also have a question about the temp of water as well....I dont like drinking water at room temp, I always put ice in it will this affect anything? Also I dont think I could do more than 80 oz a day I hope thats ok

I'd like to know the answer to this one as well. I've heard it to beneficial both ways. "Drink water cold because the body has to work harder to bring it up to body temperature." "Drink water room temperature because the body is already working hard enough to burn fat." Anyone know?

It was Trudeau who says not to drink cold water. Dr. S doesn't mention it. If I recall, Trudeau said it helped with weight loss but I don't really buy that.

Ok so I think I will keep the water cool but just try to drink as much as I can!

Colleen - Do you know why Trudeau said not to drink cold water?

Just what I said above. I can't really remember for sure and I don't have the book here. I loaned it out.
