 Good Sunday morning to you all! I haven't had time much this week to retreat to the P4 Lounge, I'm trying to resist during my work day! :) Anyway, I've been doing alright, my eating habits have certainly changed through this whole process and I couldn't be more content. However, I am finding that I don't PREPARE for my day as well, so I'm not eating as much veggies as I should. Fruit is much easier for me to always have available and ready!

I'm wondering if you have experienced fluctuating scales still? Mine don't fluctuate A LOT, but I definitely go up and down between 1-1.5 pounds each day. I think it comes down to whether I get enough water or not the day before, is that right?

This morning I was exactly 2# up from LIW, so I'm going to try to focus on water and protein today. Other than that, I'm doing well and enjoying the freedoms that P4 brings. Lindy

Hi Lindylu!! I have the same problems. I had alot of problems getting enough water this past week, and I am up 2 pounds from last Sunday. But I have noticed a pattern based on where I am working...some assignments allow me to get more water in each day than others. Next week is my heavier on the water week, so I will see if I go back down again. I haven't introduced any starches yet...still just working on the water thing. Barb

I have introduced starches, not every day, but here and there. The low carb tortilla, or beans in a homemade chili, or potatoes... It's been nice, but I am not craving any of them, which I love. I have always loved breakfast and especially cold cereal or oatmeal, still haven't had those. Not sure I will! It's always been about convenience, my eating habits, I'm a working mom and not a morning person, so I've always gone for fast and easy, not the healthiest choices, huh!

Lindy, I've done the low carb wraps a couple of times. I haven't done any beans or potatoes. I've had some wine here and there with dinner...a nice treat. I use lots of salad dressing on things, and eat a lot of cheese. I have found that the omlet breakfast is my best bet. Keeps me going until lunch time. LOL, and we know that is important!! Barb

Yup, me too, I make a HUGE omelot, the entire skillet fill, it's like a "Spanish Tortilla" looks like a pie, then I eat some for breakfast and then throughout the day! I'm gonna have to build a chicken coop before long! I also have a 1 cup scoop of plain yogurt with fresh berries and sometimes a nectarine cut up into it. I usually sweeten a little with truvia. I eat this while at work before noon. The yogurt has quite a bit of protein in it. I'll try adding in more cheese too, that's easy to grab.

Barb do you use milk or soy or something else? I don't understand the pros & cons of the alternative dairy options? I like whole milk, 1/2 & 1/2, why switch to soy or the others?

I'm off to church this morning, it's been fun chatting, enjoy your Sunday! Lindy

Lindy, i have never been a big milk person, not even in my coffee. I really am not sure about the pros and cons of soy over dairy. I would say if you are happy with the milk you use, there probably isn't alot of reason to switch to soy. I think folks do it to reduce fat, but that really isn't a problem with this diet. Have a great Sunday!!! Barb

lets get on to something more important. When are we going to get some more comfortable chairs in here. I mean where did you get these things out of a fire sale somewhere?
It is hard for me to lounge when there are no lounge chairs. I would like to put an order in for one with the flip up foot rest with extra padding. Oh yeah and some mood lighting too.

lindy- dairy is a very common food sensitivity, and you also become sensitive to foods you eat a lot of- so it wouldn't hurt to vary sources of protein.
