I am getting really tired of the apple cider vinegar dressing I came up with. I have put tons of fresh herbs, a little sweet n low, water, salt and pepper. I LOVE salad but I really can't stand the dressing anymore. Is there ANYTHING else, commercial brand, that is approved? I am in P2...Thanks for any info!!! ~Theresa
i use the fat-free balsamic dressing from maple grove farms of vermont. not "approved", but after not using any dressing for R1, and using that every other day or so on R2, i lost the same amount of weight. there are 5 calories per serving, no sugar or fat, and one gm of carbs. i try to use 1/2 serving- just enough to flavor the lettuce a bit. but i do notice it seems to contribute to me retaining water. they have a raspberry one with the same nutritional content.
I will def try the strawberry one tomorrow! Gotta go get some more strawberries! I would rather use a TBSP of balsamic than a 3 TBSP of any other vinegar. I like to just wet down my salad with it, then drain the rest off and through it away. I may resort back to that soon, I have not done that over the past week+. Thanks for the recipe!!!! ~Theresa
