i think the chili is one of the most satisfying meals- but watch your weight (as if we're not!!). it makes some people stall. i think the chili powder can make you retain water (not a big problem), but some people don't lose well combining beef and tomatoes (more of a problem...). Here's one recipe:
3.5oz ground beef (extra lean) 1c chopped tomoatoes 1 tbsp onion (if comfortable combining the tomato and onion- otherwise leave this out) 1 clove garlic 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp onion powder chili powder(to taste)
Brown beef in pan with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat. Add tomatoes, onion powder, garlic powder and chili powder. Simmer for 30 minutes. The longer you let it simmer the thicker and more flavorful it gets.
i usually add fat-free, sugar-free broth to this as well, and then cook it down.
I ate this Chili and felt like I was totally cheating!!!! It was so good. It had so much flavor and it was rich and filling. I would eat this everyday if I could. My family thought it was just as good and had no idea that it was "diet food". I had a poor weight loss the next day and thought it was the chili but I ate it again and things were fine! This chili will save me on P2!
p.s. I garnished with just a little green onion tops
beef doesnt like me when I am on P2...neither does shrimp or cabbage.....3 things I LOVE and can have on P3 and P4, but not on P2 (stalled or gained) - go figure.
Caidan, Beef doesn't like me either while on P2. I know it and so when I do have it I don't expect to lose, so it is like a treat for me while on P2. I have been eating Bison and I actually have lost on it. So wierd is the body or at least my body.
